What we record
Real Assets reads company pages, filings, reports, news and listings, and records what they state about Europe data centers: where a site is, who runs it, what status it has and, where a source gives one, a figure such as power capacity. As of 21 October 2026 that is 229 sites, 223 of them placed on a map, and 202 sourced figures.
What a source line means
Every figure in the workspace carries a source line: the publisher, the link to the page, the date we read it and, for a report, the page and the exact words it prints. A source line says where a figure was read, not that we checked the figure against anything else. 229 of the 229 sites here carry a source link; the others are listed as recorded and their figures are not shown as sourced. Counts are sites tracked, not a census
A count on these pages is the number of sites Real Assets has recorded, not the number that exist, so it can be lower than a figure published by a body that counts the whole market. Rankings are by sites tracked unless a page says otherwise, so they can differ from a ranking by capacity or area. Power capacity is reported for 136 of 229 sites; a site with no reported figure adds nothing to a total.
